An interesting thing to note about the Mog Houses in the past is that they are military bunks–which means our adventurers in the past likely will not have much in the way of privacy like their Mogs in the future.
Which means, we may have roommates. I figure it's probably fair if we divide up bunk mates in some way. What do you think?
If your character is going to be staying in the military bunks, post here the character's name (and if they aren't staying in the bunks, post where they are staying elsewhere while in the past).
Also, how many people should be in the bunks? I feel like I recall the bunks having room for two, but can't remember well. We could always just put all the women together, and all the men together. I think pairing might open up some interesting RP potential though (and we could always swap roommates later, and so on).
That said, the two of my characters in the past, Avina and Zeti-Reti, will be going into the female and male bunks, respectively.
I haven't been in any Residental Areas other than Windurst's in a while, and I know that one there's room for at least six people in it (three rows.of double hammocks, at least). I think the other [S) nations are similar, though.
And you know how Draen works. She's not sleeping in a room with the opposite sex.
"How hard did you hit him?" "Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay. "You're getting to be more like Belgarath every day," Silk told him. "You do more damage out of simple irritation than most men can do in a towering rage."
The separation by gender sounds like the most believable.
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
