Should we keep Monday RP on the schedule? 5 votes

Yes. (I can be there at least 50% of the time, and I will bring ideas to RP at least 75% of the time that I attend) 0

Hey all,

Bringing this back up to the front again, due to some concerns being raised that the Monday RP is sort of turning into a bit of an 'off day' for us, and I'm wondering if it shouldn't be dropped the schedule.

I personally think people's activity/morale would be higher if we had fewer scheduled days on the calendar but those days had more activity, versus more days on the calendar that turn out to be lackluster. Personally, I try to be sure that I attend most of the RPs, but especially Sunday/Monday creates a lot of conflict for me and being able to get my other RL things done.

I'm still open to keeping Monday open, but there are some stipulations to it. I want to point out that the 'yes, keep the Monday timeslot' has some stipulations to it. People voting yes for Monday should be able to attend at least half of the timeslots, and bring activities/ideas for them to play out at least 75% of the time. It's becoming a problem, especially for Monday RPs, where we get a few people to show up, but no one ends up RPing much.

Anyways, the poll is up, so please vote and we'll go from here. I'll leave it up from now until Sunday, and we'll make the call sometime on Sunday (I will not be here for Sunday's RP, but I'll check the status of the poll later that night)

I've stressed out enough of how I really can't get myself the will to RP on Monday anymore. Three days straight of RP is exhausting. I prefer to have a one-day break between Sunday and Tuesday to cool off and think of ideas.
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

I've just been busy lately, and Monday is the day people tend to want things done that they couldn't find time to do over the weekend. Moving, internet issues, etc.

Mondays have been slow recently, and it's probably time to redo the schedule anyways. If Sunday's working for people so well, it may be time to look into a Sun/Tues/Thur schedule if people continue to want three days, or simply eliminating Monday if they're fine with two.

Also, I just want to clarify, if we don't do the Monday RP, it doesn't mean at all that people can't still RP on Monday or whenever they'd like to. Personally, I'm hoping that with less scheduled RP, we'll see more impromptu RP happening.

I originally voted to keep Mondays but, yeah, Monday has turned out to be a hard day, both attention/idea and attendance-wise.

If people still feel like gathering and RPing on Monday, that's all well and good. But I'm totally with removing Monday as a set-in-stone-scheduled-RP-day.

After all, small children like crocodiles almost as much as Evil Overlords and it's important to spend quality time with the grandkids.

"Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay.

What if we were perhaps going to create another scheduled day on Fridays instead of Monday? I know it's a night where people tend to go out, but I personally haven't seen too much of a difference in people in the LS from usual on those nights (When I'm able to log in, that is).

Personally with XIV about to burst in, I'd for now keep scheduled days to 2 a week. Several players are going to be too excited by the newness to show up more than that. (I do hope they show up at all.) A third day could likely be scheduled after the XIV launch wave has settled.

Again, less scheduled days doesn't mean less RP. Especially between thursday and saturday I tend to become restless and will likely look for open RP in the shell.

Results of the poll are pretty one-sided here, we'll be dropping the Monday RP, starting immediately.

Given that XIV is launching next weekend, I'm going to go with keeping the two day a week schedule we have going before thinking about a third day. Just for the time being. May increase it after the initial rush for XIV is past, but its unlikely I'll be able to attend a 3rd time a week myself with graduate school around the corner though. I'm confident though, that I'll be able to continue RPing fairly regularly with my schedule though on a twice a week schedule.

Just lost a couple people at work. One moved another just quit. Needless to say my schedule has gone from being stupid to being hell. I doubt I'll be getting on XI at all for the next few months even when i do have a day off I'll either be on XIV or in bed recovering from work. I might be able to get on rarely but I have no idea anymore when or if I'll be on XI any. This just might be the end of my time playing XI, unless I find a new job with a schedule fit for humans I'm probably going to end up so far behind in XI that I might as well leave while I still have good memories and move on to XIV full time.

that sucks, Kaolla! I hope work gets better for you and ihope to see you on xiv.

as for me, this only really leaves Wednesdays for good rp since I'm usually busy running errands on the weekend.

oh well.
