Sólo RP is good. Just random everyday events that people can jump in and out of.

Can we also RP ToAU missions on behalf of Siren Sword as a group? Make it like some of the members feel obligated to go through it while the others are doing the Malay plot? Maybe even work it into that plot as these members putting up a front to hide the rescue party's actions. This allows everyone IC'ly to know what is happening and maybe even help in the end.

Sorry, just had that idea while I was responding and decided to put it here. I don't know what course you guys want.

ToAU missions, as a group we already are RPing them. We're just going slowly right now for a handful of reasons. If we follow the same pattern we did with CoP (the only other mission line I've been privy to with ToV), once we get past a critical point we'll start moving faster with them. The overall motive for doing ToAU missions is pretty simple: once your character makes contact with Trion-in-disguise and you meet with the representatives for the Middle Land nations, you're pretty much told "You're our spy over there now, failure to carry out this duty will result in exile from the Middle Lands".

Getting involved, all you really have to do is be inside/nearby when everyone start trooping into Salaheem's Sentinels. Or be listening over the pearl when a call to gather is made.

The Immortal Sins plotline is actually a side/personal story. It just crops up a lot because it coincides often with the other 'more prevalent' side/personal story that is going on. It's not going to last the whole of the group's RP time in ToAU – Kiri and I started this story six (… almost seven…) years ago, and we're eager to finally finish it. We really don't mind others joining in, but there is a sort of "trust threshold" that needs to be passed – if our characters don't trust yours, they're not going to open up about what is going on. Which can be difficult: we have one character who suffers from extreme paranoia, and one that has trust issues in general and is utterly stressed out.

When the hero enters to kill me, I will ask him to first explain to my grandchild why it is necessary to kill her beloved grandma. When the hero launches into an explanation of morality way over her head, that will be her cue to pull the lever and send him into the pit of crocodiles. After all, small children like crocodiles almost as much as Evil Overlords and it's important to spend quality time with the grandkids.

"How hard did you hit him?"
"Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay.
"You're getting to be more like Belgarath every day," Silk told him. "You do more damage out of simple irritation than most men can do in a towering rage."

Yup, we're already RPing Missions. Another way to get involved in them, quite simple, is to willingly sign up to the Salaheem Sentinels to make money, and have Naja assign you to team up with us in our current task (assisting the Royal Puppetmaster in uncovering the mystery of the ghost ship Black Coffin).
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
