So, this project is one that has been poking my head for a while. Seen how the FFXI environment closely resembles Final Fantasy I's world, I was thinking to make a video-recorded remake of Final Fantasy I, the adventure of the Warriors of Light against the darkness. A few notes here:

- This RP would be recorded by a software and uploaded on Youtube, or other videosharing sites.
- This RP would be scripted for the most part. Non-scripted parts may occur, but only in minor points such as character interaction within the party.
- A cast will be selected to roleplay the six protagonists (yes, six. I'll get there in a moment), but there will be plenty of NPC roles for whoever else may want to participate.
- A couple changes would occur in the storylines:

1) Final Fantasy allows the player to choose four characters out of six to be the four Warriors of Light. However, this being a video and the 'player' being merely an audience, they wouldn't be free to choose the jobs for the story cast. To fix this, it was decided to have all six the characters participate instead, and them being Six Warriors of Light.
2) In Final Fantasy there were four corrupted crystals, one for each Warrior of Light. However, since we'll be using six, we'll add two more corrupted crystals in the adventure (Ice and Thunder), with their correspondent Fiend of Chaos.
3) While the characters in Final Fantasy looked to be all humans, maybe with the exception of Black Mage, we felt it would be unfair to restrict the cast to Hume alone. This is why we'll be casting different races for each job, depending on how they seem to best fit and resemble the Final Fantasy's character look.

What I'm missing for this right now is the cast, as well as a software that would allow me to add Final Fantasy style balloons (though this is optional. If we use roleplayers for the NPCs we could just use the chatlog). I don't know much about video editors out of moviemaker. Someone suggested Ulead Video Studio or Video Factory for this, but I'd like suggestions.

––––––-THE CAST––––––––––-

There are a lot of roles, but until the project is actively approved I'll only submit the list for the main characters:

The Warrior:

For this role, we would like a Hume Male. Possibly Red, Chestnut or Blond-haired.

The Monk:

For this role, we would like a Galka. Possibly not white-haired.

The White Mage:

For this role, we would like a Hume Female. Possibly Blond or Chestnut-haired.

The Black Mage:

For this role, we would like a Tarutaru of either gender.

The Red Mage:

For this role, we would like a white-haired or blond-haired Elvaan of either gender.

The Thief:

For this role, we would like a mithra. Possibly blond, red or chestnut-haired.

Sign ups and comments are open!
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker

I wouldn't mind being black mage! Taru girl to give white mage someone to talk to during interactions.
