(Kirious' Whereabouts After the December 3rd RP)

The corpse-sack hit the stone floor with a sickening 'plop' as a small amount of blood stained the white rock through the burlap. "It'sss you…"

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-

He had not been hard to recognize. The man now leaning against her dresser wasn't exactly welcomed in the reef, and his actions outside would not contribute positively to the others' opinion of him. For now, it would probably be best to keep him hidden. 84 listened intently to the merc's tales as she nibbled away at a bag of goblin chocolate he had offered her. Chocolate, that was something they didn't get very often.

The idea of going into town and simply buying some was beyond crazy, nor could they make their own. One of the merrow…likely 42 had tried that awhile back. She had picked through bodies during their attacks on the city until she had enough gil to get one of the mamool to smuggle a pound of the sweet dust into her gnarled claws. Unfortunately, the bag did not even last long enough for for her to get the next ingredient It turns out sugar must be kept dry, a near impossible task in an ocean-side cave. On top of that, food never lasted in the mire. While someone rarely wandered to their death, by time anyone found their body any consumables they had on them were long past inedible.

Envy was a fantastic story teller, though she wasn't completely sure that everything was true. Stories of beating Gods, festivals in which entire counties celebrated, endless realms of darkness, each sounded more far out than the last. She didn't remember this side of him, while he looked almost exactly as he did the first time they met, his mannerisms were different At least she thought, it had been quite some time since they had crossed paths. The merc finished off his final story, a quick rundown on what had brought him back to the reef. Clearly there were some…rather large gaps in his memory.

"Now, what can you tell ME?" By now he had perched himself on top of her dresser.

84 remained coiled on her bench, nearing the bottom of Envy's snack bag. "Do you remember anything about the other Immortalsss from your unit?" Envy shook his head. "Well, there were originally sixss of you: Pride, Greed, Lust, Wrath, Sloth, and you, Envy. You've come to the reef twice, once after Sloth died, and then again after Pride. Supposedly, you're the one that killed both of them. Each of you were…special somehow…I can't say how."

Envy grinned unconsciously "So it's two-nothing right now? They've only got three left?" The lamia shook her head.

"They've added one more, Gluttony."

"So one v. four? Shouldn't be too tough."

"Pride and Greed almost killed you, but they did get someone you brought along." Envy cringed at her statement.

"Do you remember who?"

The lamia shook her head. "Sorry…" The merc grit his teeth at her response. "Do you think it wasss the lady you're looking for?"

"Maybe. I'll just hold onto that possibility for the moment."

"You're not going to tell her sister?" 84 tilted her head slightly.

"If I do that, she and Raka will probably turn around and go back. I still might need some pawns, and the Boogeyman isn't one I can really count on. Besides, how many times have I been 'dead' already?"

"That Grimalkin sounds like a fomar." 84 removed the last item from the small bag. She held the clear ball up toward the window as the dull light shown through it. She popped the small candy into her mouth, surprised at the sweet, bitter-ish taste of coconut.

"Fomar don't act like that. I thought that initially too, but it's got to have someone in that armor. When I saw it back in Mhaura, I remembered something else. I've seen it before, and I've heard it speak. It's either the same person, or an amazing imitator"

"And the Raka-mithra? She wasss the one that came and took you. Why?"

"I don't know. I've picked up a lot of abilities that I wouldn't otherwise have, so maybe it was for that. Actually…" Envy's eyes widened, he appear to have some kind of self-revelation. "…I bet I've improved more than the other Immortals. They haven't done shit compared to what I have." His grin began to return. The red haired merc stepped off of the dresser, glaring toward the door to the living space. "I think I had better get going, I'd like to make that two into a clean sweep."

"…You'll come back thisss time too, right?" 84 set her clawed hands into her lap as Envy glanced back at her.

"Probably." The mage kicked the door open, made an odd dance-like motion, then vanished. 84 got up and moved toward the door. As quickly as he had come, he was gone once more.

(The Results of the Infiltration that took place on December 22rd.)

"No casualties" had been the offered terms of the assignment, but Envy hadn't exactly accepted them. If the opportunity to quickly remove one of the many blues from the equation showed itself, he would defiantly take advantage of the situation. Every fiber in his being trembled with anticipation as he walked alongside his future prey, into the Imperial Palace. He wanted nothing more than to lash out at them, to consume them. The Immortal back in the reef had given him a real taste for it, something akin to an addiction. The Squid-Faced creatures had a similar taste, but it was…stale. The rush he got from the Immortal was much better, not only had it made him feel refreshed, but stronger. Every spell, every trick in that pitiful gate guard's book now belonged to Envy.

Several of the Blues split, likely reporting to whoever their superiors were. The Palace didn't seem to be too well defended, at least not anymore than Envy had expected. Guards dotted the halls, most avoiding eye contact with him. It was to be expected. The Immortals had a reputation of being somewhere between stuck up and 'superior' to everyone other than the Empress Unless one of the other Blues stopped him, no one likely would.

The palace was rather grand, but exploring it wasn't his primary goal. He was scouting for the other four targets, the ones he would have to deal with later. He wasn't exactly sure what they looked like, but was confident that he would recognize them when they met. The last remaining Blue departed from his path, appearing to raise an eyebrow at him curiously as he continued down the hall. Envy wasn't sure if something he had done had roused suspicion or if his current path was generally not taken by Immortals. Something drew him toward it though, some sort of instinct. The voice said something about blowing his cover, but he hadn't made a habit of listening to it.

His pace increased, his pulse quickened, his mouth watered. Envy grinned widely from under his mask. He didn't know exactly what was coming up, but knew it was what he was searching for. Deja vu might have been the term for it. As the hunter rounded the last corner, something yanked the fight right out of him. The additional voice's chatter ceased, and his aggression vanished.

He took another step into the room as he examined his surroundings. Ritzy didn't begin to cover it. The room was practically lined with the elaborate blue silk his disguise was sewn from. Gold appeared to be sewn into several of the fabrics, for no obvious reason than someone thought it was aesthetically pleasing. The other silks though, they hung with purpose. The entire room was designed to keep the Azure in check. He wasn't even angry, hell, he was at peace here. It was only now that he realized how much of a hold that energy had on him. It didn't just give him a little nudge in one direction or another, it was practically pulling his strings.

As he continued to go over his dilemma, he felt a pair of eyes fall upon him. A familiar woman's voice called out to him, one he instantly recognized. "Lust?"

The blonde woman smiled with an intensity that even she seemed unfamiliar with. "Envy….you came back." The woman stepped up from her place of rest among the cushions that littered the corners of the room, and wrapped her arms around the her lost comrade "I saw one of the Immortals out there fighting like you always did, and I thenIRememberedYouAndHowMuchIMissedYou, AndIWasGoingToComeHereToCryBecauseGreedTreatsUsLikeShitEverSinceHeWasPutInChargeAndWrathNeverPaysAttentionToMeSoAllIHaveIsGluttonyAnd"

Clearly he had set something off in this particular Immortal. He set his hand on her back as she started sobbing. {Hurry up and we can be 3 for 6!} It might have been the smart move, but right now Envy simply wasn't in the mood for it. Just as the thought crossed his mind, the woman tore herself away from him. She glared daggers at him through her reddened eyes and tear streaked face.

"But it's because you killed Sloth and Pride! You took both of them!" As if a switch had been thrown, the woman's mood flipped like a light weight food cart in a hurricane. She latched onto the front of Envy's Jubbah and glared into his eyes. She wasn't much taller than Envy himself, but even a few inches had her looking down at the red haired man. "That's what Greed said…." The cart landed right side up and the tears returned as the wind died. "…but Greed's a liar." She released Envy, her hands moving into his shoulders. "Did you? Did you kill them, Envy?"

"Everyone keeps telling me that I did."

"You…you don't remember? Again?" Her gaze fell to the floor once more. "Of course not…." The woman's hands slide from atop his shoulders and onto the floor. Lust drug herself back into her corner, pulling her knees into her chest and letting her head sag on top of them. Envy continued to watch the woman ball up on one of the cushions in the corner as she spoke once more. "…You should go. I won't tell anyone you were here. I don't want to lose another…even if it's not really you…"

{I'd normally say take her with you, but I don't think we've got enough room for all that baggage on the trip back.}

Envy approached the entrance from which he came, taking a moment to look back upon reaching the doorway. Lust met his gaze once more before breaking it off.
