Active Attendees:
Draenen
Kenjii (as Marekh)

Summary:
While heading to have some lunch, Draenen finds the man who had stalked her and Kirious in Arrapago, also personally named from her 'The Reef-Rat'. The man is even more bitter than before if possible, and says that Kirious' murder of an Immortal is putting his people in trouble, and bothering the Empire. Apparently an investigation team was sent in the Reef recently, and disappeared in the 'Mist'. The man now fears that the blame may be put on 'his people' and that it's only a matter of time before the Empire dispatches Immortal patrols in the dead shore. Draenen isn't touched at all from the tragic news, and says she doesn't care about neither the Empire or its people: she will send the whole continent to death if that would help Aderyn see his mother again, and is quick to decline Marekh's request to turn herself and Kirious in to the Immortals. The talk gets feisty, and the man seems to strike a nerve in Draenen, who ultimately charges him and hits his face. This seems to catch quite a good amount of eyes, and the two scatter in different directions.

Several hours later…
Marekh and Draenen meet again at the teahouse, but it's so dark and they are so tired (and tipsy, in Marekh's case) that they do not recognize each other at all. Marekh is just looking for someone to entertain himself with, and Drae for information. The man makes some subtle move on the woman, who accepts hoping for some tips about the population's registries, and takes her to the local Hostel. There, he lies and introduces himself as a man working in the Imperial palace. Draenen thinks this may be a perfect chance to get information, but the man seems to not know much, or to not want to tell her anyway. At some point, he dangerously approaches her, but before she can even react and pull out her knife, the lights go out and the man is dragged outside by someone else. Draenen is left alone in the dark room, confused and clueless…
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
