Summary: Zeti-Reti finally arrives to Norg, although with bad news: nothing was found in Windurst's libraries to help Muriru's case. After a brief talk with Kenjii and Muriru (and learning about the girl's decision to become a samurai under Kenjii's teachings), he leaves the two to meet up with other people in Norg.
Muriru follows Kenjii outside, doubtful but also vaguely curious about what kind of training he could possibly have in mind for her this time. After looking for some wood, the two find Avina relaxed on a tree branch. Concerned about the girl since his last encounter with the mysterious old man, but willing to keep his arrival unknown to Muriru, Kenjii sends the Tarutaru to look for more wood in order to have a private talk with Avina.
Avina expresses some concerns about her naivety and bad ability as a leader, asking Kenjii for a judgment. As always, the man can't help but be blunt about it (although with some struggle) and admits to partially agree with the old man's accusations, much to Avina's dismay. Shortly after, the conversation moves on to whether staying in Norg may be at this point worth it or not, since the enemy was able to find the group rather quickly. Avina wants to leave, but Kenjii disagrees. He thinks that even if it may not be the safer place, it's still safer than the major cities, since it allows their non-fighters friends safe and away from them, and also points out that being in a big city has so far only led to ambushes and kidnappings of more than one member. Avina however thinks that Norg has revealed to be any safer than the other cities, and seems willing to go back at the previous situation. This seemingly careless behavior for herself and the others irritates Kenjii, and the two eventually quit the argument and take separate ways.
Retrieving Muriru, Kenjii isolates the troubles going through his mind and takes the chance to instruct her on the true meaning of the Meikyo Shisui. The lesson seems to have a somewhat calming effect on him too, and the two are so able to finish the day somewhat peacefully.
Will Muriru manage to flat her mind and reach the state of the clear mirror and still water? And where did Avina go now? Stay tuned!
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
