Avina interrupts her trial with the mysterious Far Eastern figure when the metallic voice of the master-less automaton resonates in the Siren's Sword's linkpearl. How did the machine get access to that linkshell anyway?
As the group gathers to Ru'Lude Gardens, Jericho is victim of the attentions of Fiertai, much to Kenjii's disgust (recognizing the dark-skinned woman's true nature) and Sobe's angst. When even Avina arrives, the group departs to the new arena: the Spire of Holla.
Skipped part: **Kenjii had to catch up on foot to the spire as his gate crystals, amongst other things, are still locked in his Mog House where he cannot access.**
Kirious runs ahead to the Spire, still in deep hatred towards the group, and leaving the others to deal with annoying dead portals and many angry Empties. Dreizehn yells over and over at Fiertai to stop harassing Jericho, who for some reason is too off-guard to push away the unwanted attentions himself. Kenjii instead is struggling to deal with Avina's new attire, as the girl seems to have forgotten her dragoon equipment somewhere and showed up bare-handed and bare-legged (…).
At the Spire, Kenjii once again brings up the fact that Fiertai is a demon, much to everyone's shock. While Kenjii isn't really surprised they hadn't listened to him before, he ultimately was shocked to see the demonic girl latch to Avina for a kiss when the girl approached to inquire about her nature. Everyone watched in shock, Kirious/Envy instead having a great time, and Kenjii probably discovering one extra reason to look for a psychiatrist. The event seems to temporarily awaken his samurai powers, to the point his sole glare manages to cut the demon's skin. However, lacking a great katana, but most importantly just to run away from Kirious' sneering, Kenjii turns to enter the arena and is followed.
Inside is the Simulant, which surprisingly manages to get the upper hand on the group, despite everyone's best efforts and Kenjii's ace in the hole. The group awakens in Jeuno's infirmary, the puppet and the succubus nowhere to be seen. Avina leaves quickly, leaving her destination a mystery, and Sobe seems to follow Jericho's footsteps from back when she was the one wounded and he decided to change his path. Jericho seems to be aware of her state and tries to stop her, but to no avail. Kirious also leaves after Draenen storms in to check on him and the others, angry at the wasted opportunity and others' incompetence. Left behind, Draenen and Kenjii then drift the discussion to much more complicated topics….
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
Note: I encourage everyone to do their best to make summaries themselves for those scheduled and un-scheduled RPs others may not be able to join to. That includes me, so please don't have me be the only one doing this. T_T
