Story: Son of a Paladin (Zabeel) it was this boy's destiny to become one later in life, mother died in childbirth and grandparents died in combat against the Orcs during the Crystal War Era.
Zabeel was left alone to raise Locke into a great prodigy, however while Locke took to the sword really well he found himself unable to concentrate greatly whenever it came to using white magic, Locke also developed a Lone-wolf nature as his father was always hard on him and he felt like he had no-one to turn to.
at the age of 18 he was finally ready to under take the trails to become a Paladin he passed every test except one….the proper use of white magic, however with his farther as an accomplished Paladin he had influence over a bit of the decision so after 2 years of extra training and tests, Locke became a Paladin.
Locke went on many missions with his father after that, complimenting each other really well in fights, 2 years later Zabeel is called to Ghelsbha Outpost to look for a Missing Paladin who was sent there as part of an escort mission but nothing was heard back.
Locke felt like something was wrong and asked if he could go with his father, Zabeel consoled him and said there was'nt anything to worry about and he can come along.
as they Enter Ghelsbha Outpost they both realised something was amiss, it was too quiet. As they got Deep into the Outpost above them on the cliff-side the Paladin and the people he was escorting was hanging there dead then out of nowhere they we're ambushed by the a mass amount of orcs, back-back Locke and his father was fighting, because of Lockes lack of white magic they could not sustain fighting much longer realizing this Zabeel begins activating his warp scroll and places it on Lockes back, Locke turns round out of confusion and hears his fathers last words…"Goodbye son, i will always be proud of you" as the warp scroll activated Locke saw his father impaled by an orc with a spear.
Locke reappeared back in san'doria, the guards immediately knew something was up with the way Locke just collapsed to the ground with utter sadness and shock, Locke finally told them what happened but no Royal Knights could be sent out as there was too few in the area.
A funeral was held in Zabeel name the following week, at the funeral Locke swore two things, Revenge and a way to become better at that which he so failed at…magic.
At the last Firesday of the end of the Month he gathered everything he would need on his travels and set off on an 8 year journey around as much Vanadiel as possible learning everything he can about magic and how to use it efficiently.
Locke First began his by studying the nature of the animals and fiends, so he lived amongst the wild watching and studying them, how they ate how they hunted, as time passes lockes rations begin to get low, but he dare not return to san'doria unaccomplished in his task so he tried his hand at hunting but with little magic to fall back on and no real weapons Locke had limited options.
Locke was in the Sarutabaruta Region at this moment in time, as he tried to continue his studies ignoring his hunger but he grew ever more hunger as time passed, as hope seemed lost, he saw a Ranger comming towards him with a a dead hare in hand. the Ranger said
"i could give you this hare but you will only be hungry tomorrow." "what i will do for you is give you a bow and some arrows, why? you ask," "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, Give a man a rod and feed him for a lifetime" and with that the Ranger left him.
Locke then took the bow and arrow and tried hunting his own food, at first he was terrible but the thought of starving to death was too great for him so he tried much much harder, eventually he did become pretty good at using a bow, he was a novice at both woodworking and
smithing so he could remake his own bow and arrows with relative ease, as time passed on he moved out of there and headed towards Bastok where he spent the next year in the surrounding area's studying the wild.
A passing rumor crossed his ears during his time in the wild about the Manipulation of Weather through magic, while never witnessing it Locke surmised that if he too is to learn such techniques he is gonna have to live in environments where the weather is most harsh, as he was already near bastok he decided to live in the Hot and Sandy Altepa Desert for 6 months, continuing his studies futher while living in this weather he became increasingly better at tracking and locating sources of water, as you would need to in a place where it barely rains.
as the days turned to months he knew of one place where it would possibly take his life in the Day let alone 6 months and that was Uleguerand Range. he made his way back towards san'doria as he would first have to go through Ranguemont Pass. as he was passing through there he noticed something strange withing him self….he was getting better at white magic as he kept himself invisible to the sight of his enemies. it took him 3 months to pass through Beaucedine Glacier and through Xarcabard and into at last Uleguerand Range.
There Blizzards Was as common as time itself, Hunting here was near suicide not to mention living in that weather to learn magic. he then Spent the next 1 1/2 years there, everyday was not just to learn from the wild it was to fight the harsh weather to fight the evil Creatures that saw him as food.
What started off as a simple study has become a fight for survival but he know he will never give up as his revenge is now his life. With each passing day Locke is becoming stronger and fiercer as he knows his time comes to end there he plans his next and final journey to live under harsh at The Boyahda Tree which in comparison to Uleguerand Range was gonna be like a Holiday, lots of water and animals to hunt.
He Laid out a warp scroll on the ground and bid a farewell to the icy Place hoping not to see it for a very long time, Locke then Appeared in the Business City of Jeuno he then got a tailor to make a Unique set of clothes for him to pick up when he returns from the Boyahda tree as his current Tactician Magicians clothes are all ragged and torn.
So with everything been taken care of in jueno he sets off to the boyahda tree on a chocobo this time.
Locke then arrives at the Boyahda tree in just a few short days Lightning Struck a lot during his time there so much so the chocobo ran away in fear, but Locke knew time here would pass fairly quick as it seemed to pale in Comparison to what he went through over at the Uleguerand Range.
finally Locke has visited and stayed at places with every kind of weather he could think of, all he had to do now was to learn to control it within himself so he could manipulate outside and around himself. in the waning days he spent at the Boyahda tree he started to finally manipulate the weather, he could make it so that the lightning could strike harder and faster or so it could stop the lightning altogether.
While much more skilled at using these new abilities Locke felt restricted to using Tier 1 and 2 spells. He knew he could be better much better but he would have to visit those who knows about magic on a large scale, and so he set out to Windurst in search of a professor who would help him on such an en-devour
Please Bear with me if there is any plot holes in there, i am trying for it all to be good as well as make sense. and i will be working on the next 4 years throughout the week sometime i hope.
