An idea was brought up awhile ago, but unfortunately fell to the side. I'm gonna try to resurrect the idea, but first… a poll so I know where to start!
"What nation are you allied with, IC'ly?"
Please note, it doesn't have to be the nation you're currently allied with – just the one your character would most logically belong to.
"How hard did you hit him?" "Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay. "You're getting to be more like Belgarath every day," Silk told him. "You do more damage out of simple irritation than most men can do in a towering rage."

Not allied with any nation currently, but since the company Kirious works for is in Jeuno, I'll vote that. Kind of the same way the Joker is aligned with Gotham.
With the results in mind, I'm going to reset the poll and would like to propose a… "regular meeting place" for the group, someplace that would feel natural for people to go IC'ly and be able to, again naturally, meet up with others from the group. Whether it's waiting for RP to start, a place to gather before and after missions, or if you're out of ideas and just waiting for someone to wander through for something spontaneous, I think having a set area where the whole group can just gravitate to would help alleviate some of the tensions/lulls/discouragements we've been experiencing.
Now
With Windurstian citizens leading in the original poll, there's two options that come to mind there:
Timbre Timbers Tavern/Rarab Tail Hostelry –Located in Windurst Waters, the Tavern and Hostel provide two buildings to accommodate the group and a rather nice deck area. NPC's inside the Tavern provide food and drink, along with the nearby cooking guild. The zone itself has some scenic areas (Rhinostery and long walkways), and for the more bookish characters, we have the Opistery and Aurastery. –The downside to this location is the high population of NPC's inside the Tavern and, because of the Taru's short stature, the tables are difficult to "sit" at. And for many, Windurst can be frustrating to traverse.
Sailor's Stay Inn –Located in Mhuara (a Windurst-allied town), the Inn is a split-level location with a small bar/counter area at the bottom and several rooms at the top, with ample room to spread out just outside both the bottom and top floors. The zone itself is fairly quiet and small enough for the group to spread out, without fully breaking contact with others. –The downside is that this location is somewhat out of the way, and the Inn itself is more suited for people who are tired after traveling and does not have a "tavern" feel; at this moment, I can't recall if any of the NPC's inside sell food or drink.
Bastok citizens coming in second, there's two options to consider there:
Steaming Sheep Restaurant –Located in Port Bastok, this is a comfortably-sized location with a small fountain and gathering area located nearby. NPC's inside sell some food and drink. The Airship is nearby, making travel to and from easier. –The downside is that the Restaurant does serve as a bit of a quest hub, and has several NPC's crowding the bar area.
Shepard's Muster – Located in Selbina (a Bastok-allied town), this is a single level, small structure. It boasts many of the same features and disadvantages as Mhuara, save that it is a much more active town (PC-wise).
Other places to consider:
Merry Minstrel Meadhouse – Located in Lower Jeuno, this is a small taproom with a lot of character. NPC's inside provide drinks and sweets, there is a stage, and just outside the location is an overhang to loiter on and just down the stairs a few tables looking out over the sea. For level 20+ characters, this is a nice, centralized location. – The downside… it's a very small location with multiple NPC's and a quest-hub, and it's Lower Jeuno. While not nearly as busy as it once was, it's still got a lot of PC foot-traffic.
Lion Springs Tavern – Located in Southern San d'Oria, this is another small but well thought-out location. Several tables (including a gaming one), a stage, and upstairs a balcony for the group to spread out on. – NPC-heavy and contains at least one quest-hub. It's also close to an area that has high foot-traffic. I also can't remember if the stage is clear or if any NPC's sell food or drink; I know one of them makes a comment about being out of mulsum.

Now, I don't believe this poll should be the final say in the matter, or even if we're going to use this idea. If people are liking it, I really encourage others to go visit the locations I've listed and check them out for themselves.
Maybe, when there's a day where we have a good chunk of people online for RP, we can convince someone to go /WHM for teleports and we can RP a "pub-crawl", or something along those lines.
Any feedback or questions would be appreciated. The more information we can gather on this, the better a location we can find for ourselves.
Also, feel free to post other possible locations that you think are worthy of consideration, however please only suggest places that are available without quests/missions/expansions and able to be reached by a level 20 player.
