When the hero enters to kill me, I will ask him to first explain to my grandchild why it is necessary to kill her beloved grandma. When the hero launches into an explanation of morality way over her head, that will be her cue to pull the lever and send him into the pit of crocodiles. After all, small children like crocodiles almost as much as Evil Overlords and it's important to spend quality time with the grandkids.

"How hard did you hit him?"
"Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay.
"You're getting to be more like Belgarath every day," Silk told him. "You do more damage out of simple irritation than most men can do in a towering rage."

Haven't posted anything for awhile, haven't actually drawn anything for awhile. Artist's block, y'know?

Anyways. Been toying with an idea for a few weeks now, finally did some sketching for it last night and today, and I think I'm gonna run with it.

Unfinished, but still kind of worth putting up at this point:

A related-unrelated note:

Took this picture this afternoon – yes, that is a thorn about three inches long. This tree is covered in them, and Draen is named after this tree. Just thought I'd share.

That's a mean looking tree. A buddy found a branch from one of those that looked like a claw hand and stuck it on his computer monitor for the longest time x.x

This is actually one of the "friendlier" species of this tree… the ones that grew behind my mum's house years ago, the thorns on the trunk actually had MORE thorns growing on them. From an herbalist's point of view, though, these are very nice trees to have around. Lots of benefits for heart-health.
