This is where we will list the current cast of characters for our RP, including details about their race and job, as well as the kind of characters we are currently seeking to add. I will list our current character preferences below, but I want to make sure that it is known, if your FFXI character is not of the race/gender of the characters we are recruiting for RP, it doesn't mean we wouldn't let you RP with us. These are simply preferences only, and really it doesn't play much of a role at all in the characters we bring into RP. We believe that the most important thing in RP by far is that you play as a character that you love, no exceptions.
That being said, there are some characters/races/gender combinations that our RP currently lacks,

Jobs
The RPers in this group are allowed to choose from two different styles of how to handle jobs: you may choose to pick one job that defines your character and stick with only that one, or your character may be 'multi-talented' and RP as many jobs. As a general rule, when it comes down to skill mastery, those who choose to RP as ONLY ONE JOB are seen as being 'more skilled' at that particular job than someone who might include that in a multi-job repetoire. For example, while Avina may be skilled as a Thief, were there to be a character in the RP who was ONLY a Thief, that character would be seen as a "lifelong thief" and likely, more talented and skilled at the art than Avina. On the flipside, Avina might be considered more versatile in her job flexibility, and so on and so forth.
Although we try to let people RP the kinds of jobs they would like, there are some that we are just getting far too many of. Jobs that fall into this category would include dragoons, samurais, and blue mages. If you want to join our RP group maining one of these jobs as your "in character job," please be aware that we may take a closer look at your profile before allowing you into the RP group than we might for someone who is wanting to main a less-dominant job. Dragoons are going to be looked at especially closely as we have so many of them and by canon lore they should be rare. Flexibility will be given to those players who want to join and may have these jobs leveled.
Remember, these are only preferences and really only applies to those who would make an entirely new RP character.
As far the race/gender/face/jobs for the current characters (alphabetical order) that we are using (and we like to avoid duplicates if at all possible) below has our current list of active RPers.
'Main' RP Characters This is to list off player characters in the game that each person spends the most time on in the RP. A person who RPs with this group may not play much on this character OOCly at all, and may play more often on an 'Alt RP Character' (see below this section)

Infrequent Characters Infrequent characters are those who bring a little random spice into the story here and there. They have story and plot, but are unable to consistently make all RP events, but pop in here and there for some good times. These characters can fluctuate between the main and infrequent category depending on times of the year, schedules, etc.
Aedyn
Alternative Characters Alternative characters, or simply 'Alts,' are characters that are controlled by other roleplayers in the story who have other 'main' characters that they play as most of the time. Some of these characters may be seen online simultaneously as their main player (two accounts, dual-boxed), may be on the user's main account so only one of the other can appear, or may be a single character in-game, who is treated as a different character at times (usually going along with a job change)

MIA Characters MIA characters are ones that, for one reason or another, left the RP prematurely without an exit so their story is 'incomplete.' They could have left by their own choice or through forces beyond their own control. If they remain in this category for long enough it means that an explanation to explain why they have left will have to be written by another RPer in their absence.

In order to assist those who join us and still haven't decided which job to introduce as, here's a list of all game jobs, next to which I'll write what ACTIVE ROLEPLAYER is, has been, or is surely going to be on that job while RPing with us. This is by no means a list that tells you which jobs you can't show up as, but if we could keep a limit on the # of people RPing the same job at the same it would be best (a full group of ninjas would look odd to me, unless we decide to RP Naruto). The main and first purpose of this list is to give people new ideas on jobs to RP and to avoid conflicts between players of the same job. If you notice someone is, or is going to be your job of choice, perhaps it would be best to contact them privately and ask them what their plans are going to be for that job, in order to not create "replicas" (Is your BLU going to experience the struggle of the Psychoflayer mutation? I'd like mine to. Is your SMN going to have a particular IC interest for Diabolos? etc.) Anyways here's the list.
Underlined names will indicate that player is currently on this job. Bold names will indicate that player is planning to RP that job in the future plotlines. Italic names will indicate that player has RPed that job in the past plotines. (…) names will indicate secondary characters that for schedule or account sharing reasons don't show up often, so the fact that they might be of your same job shouldn't have as much impact as a "standard" character would have. If their status changes to ACTIVE character due to something like new schedules giving them more time to RP, I'll remove the ( )s.
I'll try contact all active RPers anytime and ask them if they are planning to RP any new job they haven't revealed yet, but if you could contact me in game via /tell or friend list message that would be cool too^^.
If you are creating an entirely new character for RP we ask that you look over our character cast list and try to pick a face that hasn't been used in RP before. Ideally, we'd like to have a cast with completely unique appearances, but we're not going to turn away RPers with full established characters and jobs just because they look the same as some of our other RPers.
Since I am migrating everything here over to the new Members page, in order to better judge the work, I will be snipping out the information here as it is moved and updated to the new format.
