Summary:
Having split up to explore the floating island, the adventurers find Tu'lia to be rife with danger, despite its peaceful appearance. Avina, seeking to separate herself from the others due to fears of what the Scythe of Trials may cause her to do, sets off on her own and attacks the creatures of the island, despite the toll it places on her body. Hearing her cry out in pain through the linkshell, Kenjii makes his way towards her position in concern.
Kaolla also learns the dangers of Tu'lia the hard way. The creatures of Tu'lia, attracted to as they are to the release of magic, quickly descended upon her and left her injured. Kenjii arrives and manages to find both of them, pulling them over towards a nearby stream in order to allow them to wash up.
Kenjii notices Avina becoming preoccupied with the scythe, and after picking it up, feels a dark power within it. He questions her about whether it is cursed, but she simply takes it from him.
Kaolla departs the group, going off in another direction, while Avina does the same… however Kenjii does not let her leave alone this time, and follows her.Avina
