I wrote this to explain why Avina has temporarily shifted away from the path of the Dark Knight, since it wasn't exactly explained in the RP, and I don't want it to seem like it was a random shift. It is really a moment of maturity on her part as a character, and it also shows a little bit of growth and understanding some of her mistakes. This is not to say that she won't make mistakes again or become flawless, but she is starting to understand herself more. Anyways, read on. ^^


Avina fit the Chaos Burgeonet over her mannequin’s head. She took a couple steps back from the mannequin, which now adorned her Chaos Cuirass armor set, and looked it over… the mannequin holding the darksteel armor, allowing Avina to imagine how she had looked and appeared to others over the past several months. The armor seemed to hold more bad memories than good.

She popped the cap off a flask of water and drank it slowly. She put the flask down and rubbed her eyes, and then sat down on her bed looking the armor over. Lots of bad memories… but she needn’t continue down that path anymore. The Shadow Lord was dead, she had received a nice hefty reward from the Republic of Bastok, and so she could finally relax. Some were even calling her a hero… and she was proud of herself, for maybe the first time in a long while.

She stood up from her bed and walked over to her Mog House’s window. She looked up into the night sky, to see the full moon rising. It was a little past midnight, and the moon’s color shifted into a brilliant bright white color typical of Lightsday. Tomorrow she would be meeting her father for lunch at the Steaming Sheep. He had said that he had something special to tell her.

As she prepared to rest, she looked at the mannequin staring back at her. Avina knew her limits now, and understood her natural instinct to run from her problems. This is why the armor wouldn’t be stored away immediately, and why it would remain on her mannequin. And it would remain there until she was certain she would not make the same mistake again.


As for what Ederick plans to tell Avina, I guess I’ll just summarize it here since I’m sorta tired and don’t feel like writing it IC lol. Anyways, Ederick informs Avina that he plans to stay in Bastok most of the time from now on. They will still own the farm, and it will be watched over by friends most of the time. Basically Ederick, living there alone since Avina left to become an adventurer, has decided to move to Bastok in order to be closer to his daughter.
