Summary: Still in Norg, the party proceed to go about things their own way, after some self-given chores, Kenjii proceeds to head back to the small area in which the party seems to have taken up camp, only to hear then see Muriru in a kenpogi swinging a stick around. Apparently she'd spent some of her money on Taru sized samurai garb and was practicing. Believing her to simply copying Zeti-Reti whenever she is able, he chastises her about it. As he does so, he catches the eye of Jericho, who had woken and Avina who also appeared. Frustrated and embarrassed, Muriru removes the kenpogi, throwing it at Kenjii's face, yelling at him before running off into Norg and once calmed down, changed into her other clothing.
Following this, Kenjii felt the brunt of anger from both Jericho and Avina in regards to Muriru's situation. Kenjii proceeded to defend his point, getting into a fierce argument with Jericho whilst Avina went off to find Muriru, in regards to what they believe Muriru should do. Jericho believing strongly that she requires support in finding a new path to follow to continue her adventures, whilst Kenjii seemed content on sending her back to her family believing that she's the weakest of the family white mage, thus Veviriri must have attacked her out of fear of the other family members power, thus in his eyes, she'd be safer at home.
Muriru, once again frustrated, tried vigorously to blow up a floating broken barrel in the waters with Holy, the attempt was once again futile and she was unable to do it. Avina consoled her, explaining that she's a jack of all trades, and the concept or possibility isn't impossible, as she is living proof of it.
Jericho soon joins the two whilst Kenjii remains at the auction house, the argument having subsided, though Jericho expresses frustration towards him. After an exchange of suggestions, Muriru actually confirms she's aware of Kenjii's past as a Samurai and admits to being upset knowing Kenjii should be able to relate to her situation moreso than the others.
Avina then heads off to convince Kenjii to train Muriru to become a Samurai but bribing him with a date if he does so (additionally flaunting herself, since she's recently come to walking around in what seems to be a shirt and underwear). Kenjii agrees reluctantly and goes about thinking how to 'start', meanwhile Jericho and Muriru played a game of throwing rocks into the barrel she formally tried to asplode with holy.
Kenjii returns later and flat out tells Muriru her flaws before stating "But maybe there's a remedy to most of that." He then sets up a trap, telling a story that most likely was a lie, before giving her a task he was certain she would refuse, thus she'd give up.
Drink Mudwine with a smile.
She did it, determined (and fooled) into thinking it was something Samurai had to do to prove her resolve and strength of will.
Kenjii's plan had backfired, but not before being utterly disgusted. Seems he'd actually have to train her… or would he?!
<_< While it was an intended trick from Kenjii, it is true Lanfeaur d'Oraguille drank mudwine with King De'Dha to allegiance the Quadav. Check the "History of San d'Oria" thread!!
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
