Active Characters: Saerun (Sae) Garonne (???) Draenen Aedyn
Summary: (I didn't catch a good amount of Draenen's RP, so for now, here's a summary of mine)
Sae is sent to Batallia Downs to the fugly tree to discover her own meaning of life and death. As she does, she finds Aedyn already there. The two catch up, discuss a few things (Philosophy, recent events, etc), then head into Eldieme. They work together to camp a Notorious Monster Cwn Cyrff.
As she does, Sae finds a Revival Root off of an undead hound, and comes up with the theory that the undead are beings that have been "revived" with the root. Answer obtained, NM defeated, and Aedyn's old obsession possibly resparked, the two part company once more.
This requires some elaboration. How could the fugly tree grant any sort of meaning of life and death, other than futility!?Avina
"I didn't kill myself because I wasn't ready to die. Even in the slave pens as a fugly tree, life can be sweet, and death is bitter."
>_> At least, that's my possible interpretation.
Anyways! Thanks Sae for taking care of that side for me.
Meanwhile, in Windurst…. Feeling 'invaded' by the presence of her new moogle and a still-unconcious Kenjii in her home (and rather creeped out by the moogle's suggestion that she was going to harvest Kenjii's organs), Draen heads out to continue making money for her upcoming trip. While on the road to Tahrongi, she stops to pick out the crawler's silk that has gotten tangled in her hair and finds herself talking to the origin of one of Windurst's boogymen…
"How hard did you hit him?" "Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay. "You're getting to be more like Belgarath every day," Silk told him. "You do more damage out of simple irritation than most men can do in a towering rage."
