RP type: Social

Date: Saturday October 6

Active Attendees:
Jericho
Saerun
Draenen/???
Garonne
Kenjii (later ghosting as Ayuki)/Hakkaii

Summary:
Another quiet day, where Jericho (after discovering a frog in his delivery box) and Draenen discuss over the pearl the attack on Muriru and express concern on the lack of leads to go on until Muriru hopefully wakes up. Nearby where Draenen is laying on an overlook in Windurst Woods, Garonne stops to eavesdrop for a bit., and Saerun approaches three mystery women with a problem of her own. Kenjii eventually chimes in and offers a theory that Muriru's attacker may have been some sort of a mage, or working with a mage, before disappearing on some errand of his own in the infirmary. Ayuki calls over the stone some time later, in a panic over the fate of a frog that she believes to be Kenjii.

The conversation turns back towards the tournament, and the 'demon girl' that had been pursuing Jericho before the last match. Draenen goes in search of a book that may or may not shed light on the 'demon girl', but refuses to elaborate further. In the meantime, Jericho meets up with Hakkaii, a young recruit to Siren's Swords and, to the young man's repressed dismay, helps him get a hold of some flint stones. Soon after they part, Hakkaii is accosted by a strange Tarutaru…

And what is up with these frogs…?

When the hero enters to kill me, I will ask him to first explain to my grandchild why it is necessary to kill her beloved grandma. When the hero launches into an explanation of morality way over her head, that will be her cue to pull the lever and send him into the pit of crocodiles. After all, small children like crocodiles almost as much as Evil Overlords and it's important to spend quality time with the grandkids.

"How hard did you hit him?"
"Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay.
"You're getting to be more like Belgarath every day," Silk told him. "You do more damage out of simple irritation than most men can do in a towering rage."

Thanks for writing this down again. I was going to do it once I'd wake up XD I was literally falling face-first on the keyboard when we stopped.
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
