Somewhere in the hidden roads of Jeuno's residential area lies a door…
A door known only by a few anonymous members…

The Black Book Club is a group of fanatic and bored rich people, each coming from different places and pasts. Some may be retired adventurers, others past unknown heroes of the War, other may just be lords coming from foreign lands… It doesn't really matter.

All they share is their passion for fight and blood, something either their age or their wounds doesn't allow them to experience in the first place… Or their cowardice in some cases. Fearing pain doesn't necessarily mean you wouldn't enjoy seeing it in the faces of others.

These people generally live on their own, doing nothing out of their normal business if not checking the day's Vana'Diel tribune and listen to a bard's tale about adventurers and their conquests out in the field.

Until they hear of someone interesting enough…

When the rumors about a party of adventurers, or an individual, winning the most incredible battles reach the ears of these secret members, then they gather at their Club, and there they organize their only one activity as a group.

The Dark Tournament.

Defeating any barrier between men and beasts, these mysterious men and women send their contacts everywhere to organize encounters between their chosen victim and any kind of great, threatening, blood-thirsty fiend that may be willing to join their decided arenas. After everything is ready, an employee is sent to the adventurer. A strange figure of a man or woman with the sole company of a strange ahriman pet: the camerahriman, a fiend able to send motion captures to the Club through a strange Near Eastern machine implanted in its eye.
The monster and its master meet with the adventurer/s, tell them the rules and give the invitation to join.* After that, they disappear only to then return when the day is on. When it is, he/she will accompany the participants through their trials (KI quests) to the arena, and enter with them to comment their actions to the Club, so its members can make their bets on-air.
So far, the winning bets were always the ones set on the monstrous participants…

And now, after about a year from the last one, another incredible Tournament is about to begin.

Today's victim? The Siren's Sword.**

*I haven't decided yet if the invite should be some kind of blackmail to force us to join or just promise great prizes and fame.
**I don't know if I should have this begin after CoP or throughout it. I'd hate to steal socials to other people with other scenarios planned.

Let me know what you think of this asap!

This event will have a "prologue" tomorrow, Monday 27th August, and the first round Saturday or next week. After that, a round will be available -but not necessarily have to be RPd- every week.

The role of referee has been given to Draenen.

Whoever wishes to participate to the event must have access to the following zones:

- Spire of Dem
- Spire of Holla
- Spire of Mea
- Monarch Linn
- The Shrouded Maw
- Spire of Vhazl
- Mine Shaft #2716
- Boneyard Gully
- Bearclaw Pinnacle

About these battlefields:

ENM battlefields differ from regular battlefields in the following way :

- An orb is not required to enter an ENM quest battlefield. However, a Key Item is, that will be obtained through a quest (that will be Roleplayed as a trial). The Key Item will disappear from ALL participants once the party enters the arena, and said Key Item will not be accessible again for 5 RL days.

- Characters succeeding in an ENM battle will be rewarded with large amounts of experience, as well as unique items. Since there is only one try, the rule Your Orb Your Drop cannot be applied. Drops will all be freelot to everyone entering the fight, referee included (Referee however cannot ICly claim the treasure. That will be OOC alone.)

- Exp rewards will be forfeit in the below situations:
A character is currently KO’d.
A character is too far away from the armoury crate.
A character is currently not in the party/alliance of the person who opened the armoury crate.

- It is only possible to gain one level per battle, with any excess experience points being cut just before the amount needed to gain a second level.

Restrictions
- Battlefield reentry time begins counting down the moment a battlefield is entered.
- Battlefield reentry time can only be checked for ENM quests that you are currently eligible to undertake.
- Battlefields that exist in areas that become accessible by progressing in the Chains of Promathia story will become available as soon as those areas can be reached.

See the tournament's format here (OOC Knowledge for the partecipants):

Note: The order is from bottom to top.

To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

If I can get caught up fast enough and we can't find a ref, I'll offer Garonne for it. If we do get a ref, Kirious might be interested in fighting.

When I'm around, I'd be interested in playing ref. I don't have /BST available, BUT! I've got an idea for a personality.

When the hero enters to kill me, I will ask him to first explain to my grandchild why it is necessary to kill her beloved grandma. When the hero launches into an explanation of morality way over her head, that will be her cue to pull the lever and send him into the pit of crocodiles. After all, small children like crocodiles almost as much as Evil Overlords and it's important to spend quality time with the grandkids.

"How hard did you hit him?"
"Quite hard, actually. For some reason he irritated me." They stared back to where the Grolim lay.
"You're getting to be more like Belgarath every day," Silk told him. "You do more damage out of simple irritation than most men can do in a towering rage."

that's cool like I said, you don't have it to be bst or /bst OOC. just IC cause you are gonna pretend having the ahriman as pet.

Since I apparently missed this the first time around - I'll gladly participate. However, I have a new job with hours that change every week, so I have no idea what my schedule is. So far, I've *generally* been able to make at least one RP a week, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Edited OP, added rules and a scheme with the tournament's rounds.
