BEFORE you read this, take a minute to relax, take a deep breath and meditate. This isn't addressed to anyone specific at all. This is an opinion that comes from MONTHS of observing the LS and its RPers, even people that no longer RP.
Another topic that I've thought of bringing up… and haven't earlier because I wasn't confident enough, is drama over the LS. Yeah…
Now, while I've been here for several years now and have gotten to know some of our members, I am aware that I don't know quite well the newer members yet, but I believe that, one way or another, we all have some problems in our life. It's just normal.
But if it's true that it's legit for us to have problems because everyone does, it's also true the other way around: the others can have problems too because everyone does. This is an aspect that lots of people tend to not take into account. Everyone has a bad day from time to time, and some times more often than that.Your life doesn't suck more than anyone else's.
Now when does this become a problem? When said issues are brought into the shell. Now, it doesn't really matter if your issue is being caused the RP or by your real life or by an RPer… don't bring it in the shell. It's not stuff people want to see. Especially not during RP.
If someone is doing something you don't like in RP, don't storm off or freak out in LS or PT chat. Either take it to tells with that person or report to the leader AFTER RP, whichever of the two you pick. Avina is our leader, but he is also an RPer and getting angry tells probably would get him out of character as much as it would to me.
Careful there. This is just when it comes for complaints. If you are utterly confused by what's going on and can't get IC because of it, it's only fair to ask for an explanation. But do it politely.
If the issue you have comes from your RL life, don't start venting in PT or LS chat and storm off. No stuff like "Fuck my boss. Gotta go." or "Sorry this is really throwing me off, fuck my life. I can't RP like this." *logoff* should be seen. A "meh… got called in for work, gotta go :(" will be fine and won't throw people OOC and/or make them feel bad.
Aside the drama/rage moments topic, there is another fairly close to it, and that is long time afks. If you can help it, PLEASE give a warning before doing so, and possibly take some distance by the group. God knows how many times I've addressed to someone next to me and waited minutes and minutes for a reply only to find out they afked or fell asleep. If you feel sleepy, give a warning that you might pass out. I do it often with our schedule.
