Hey all,

This is just a reminder that Chains of Promathia 8-3, the race tower climb, will be happening this Saturday. The event will be working in such a way:

1.  The team will gather together at the start point, and gradually escort everyone to their respective towers, and as the members of the races embark, they will wish them good luck on the climb. 

2.  At this point RP for the escorting group will pause, and the escorts should watch the RP of the group currently climbing the race tower play out.  As some of the races heavily outnumber others, to help facilitate the RP and make this less of a nightmare for those without so many members, some of the escorting party will enter to help them on the climb on an OOC basis. 

For those doing the climb, try to use this spotlight time for something special.  The end of the world is nigh, your characters have come a long way, and it's a chance for them to get those last important musings out before the end comes.  So, try to make use of the time that you are getting and try to focus more on the RP part than the climb part.  We're going to be giving you OOC help for you to do that.  However, do be mindful there are people waiting; don't drag it out unnecessarily long, just because you can.  But if you have some things you specifically want to do and come ready to RP them out, by all means!

To the escorts/audience:  It's important that you pay attention to the stories that people tell during the climb. It's not going to be acceptable to AFK while others are doing their climb and expect others to give you their full attention when you are making the climb.  Some people may be arriving a little it late due to work schedules, that's fine and can't be avoided.  These people still deserve your full attention even if they weren't there to see your climb; they would have watched yours if they could.

Obviously, if you need to AFK for the bathroom, emergencies, etc, that won't be held against you.  The basic rule of thumb here is to be courteous and to not be rude and give attention where it is due.

3.  Once the group makes it to the end of their climb, the party will move to another tower (the members who climbed will remain at the end), until we gradually eliminate them all.  RP will resume as usual once we arrive at the top.


Alternate Option:  You can write a fan fiction for us to read if you know you won't be able to attend detailing your climb to the top, or you think you would RP the scene better if you could write it out.  That's fine.  But you will need to collaborate with others of your race for the fiction if that is the route you would like to take.

How about I write a fanfic concerning the reaction of my character to the events since he's NOT part of the main group and is currently an "NPC" of sorts for the moment?

Haha, you are welcome to write stories regarding the RP whenever you'd like, not just when I make posts like these!
