"Our tale begins in incident: the harvesting in cold blood of many flowers - a species as a rule content to live and perish in Nature's embrace - by San d'Orian Knights for their celebration of a Royal Operation success. The fierce hatred of the slain flowers towards their slayers gave rise to this monstrous spirit who possessed this beetle. Having long forgotten its purpose of stalwart defense of Ronfaure's flowers, it now attacks all men it finds. Unable to strike at their own ancestors, the flowers asked me to post a bill for this marks in hopes that a Hunter would aid them."

To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
