The main point of the scenario is quite simple: RP in the past (S) areas while impersonating characters that belong to that world and timeline. There are some rules to follow though:

1: You can't RP a character belonging to the main RP cast, unless said character is old enough to have lived during the Crystal War (23 years ago now). Far as I know nobody in our current cast meets the requirements with the exception of a couple cameos/side characters.

2. You can't be a time traveller or a person coming from an alternate time/world/dimension etc. Cavernous maws DO NOT EXIST YET in this scenario.

3. You can't RP any WotG related mission or quest in this: WotG quests and missions are all supposed to happen after the protagonist goes through a maw. As a consequence, because of rule #2, quests and missions can't happen just yet. This rule will be changed once the WotG scenario starts for the main RP group. The only exception is Campaign OPs.

4. Your character must be either a freelance or a member of the allied forces of Altana IC in order to RP campaign battles and OPs. If you want to RP a normal citizien by all means you can, but keep in mind that this will cut you out of most of the RP action.

5: For the sake of making this easier, your RPd job should be at least lv50 or above.

6: The characters RPd here are cameos of all kinds, so you don't have to always show up as the same character. There isn't a main plot to follow. One day you can RP the story of a hume in Bastok and the other day be a mithra of the Cobra Unit (long as you own characters to do so of course). If you want to stick to one character you can, but there's really no need since these RPs have no main story to focus around. Changing jobs is sufficient to change character too. Just make sure you post a mini-profile in the characters section (add an (S) to their name to split then from the present-time characters) so that people don't get confused.

7. The Crystal War has a limited time, as such, we can't really RP time passing. It is best to always keep vague the time passing in this scenario. For example, if two characters meet again you shouldn't say things like "hey it's been so many months/years!" Keep in mind that the War only lasts two years, and the last year should be the one in which the real WotG scenario will take place.

8. Try to consider the timeframe you are in. It is a time of war, and the allied forces are losing. Feel free to make elaborate plots, but don't forget the context of the world you are in.

9. Have fun!

EDIT: Needless to say, but I will so that nobody comes and tells me "I didn't know!". This scenario will not happen during the RP scheduled days (Monday evening and Sunday afternoon). So if you want to do this but expect for the whole group to show up, you will hardly ever get the chance to see this happening. If you hop in the RP LS out of scheduled days and see someone (like me for example) not busy RPing something else, go ahead and ask if they feel like RPing this. Personally I often go to the past to skill up the lv99 caps around noon EST if I'm not RPing a Hunt, so I'm up for it, and I know others have shown interest. As always, communication is essential for this. If you want to RP this at a specific time, drop me a message and let me know when you will be on. If it's an acceptable hour I will more than likely join you!

To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

"What makes a strong character is how they deal with their flaws, their fears, their turmoils, their troubles that get in the way. That's what makes them relatable." – Doug Walker
