If you're looking forward RPing as a Monk here's a thread listing who has done it before you or is going to. Check what it says to make sure you can make an original character without accidentally copying their style.

For people posting here:
Please try and follow this model.

- Name
- Model (race, gender, face model)
- Link to Profile (if you have one in Characters section)
- In which part of RP will you be a Monk (use expansions names for an approximate landmark, or ‘occasionally’ if you plan to switch job often, or ‘retired’ if you don't plan to use the job again any soon)
- Type of attendance (regular, cameo, side-character)
- Story of your job in a briefing (How did your character become a Monk and what has he done as a MNK since before meeting the group IC. Be brief and save details for the Profile section)
- As a Monk in the RP group (write what have you done with the group IC that would have to do with your job.)
- What will you do in the future (write little spoilers of plans regarding your job so that others know and won't anticipate you.)
- Appearance (describe the standard look of your character, or post pics)

For the readers:
If you find some of the needed informations are missing, please try and contact the specific character in-game for details. ^^

To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

Name: Daltan

Model: Elvaan M 1A

Link to Profile: Click here.

In which part of RP will you be a Monk: Permanent?

Type of attendance: Cameo, very very rare appearances.

Story of your job in a briefing: Daltan left the path of the Paladin after his squad was wiped in the Gusgen Mines, and became a Monk. After meeting Avina and helping her in various missions and quests, he tries to take up on the sword and shield again, but eventually ends up returning to the martial arts again.

As a Monk in the RP group: Daltan has appeared in San d'Oria during Rise of the Zilart, to inform Avina that Kjara was still alive. Currently he's off somewhere, training.

What will you do in the future: Unknown.

Appearance: Daltan wears full Temple Attire.

Name: Cire

Model: Hume M 2A

Link to Profile: None.

In which part of RP will you be a Monk: Occasionally.

Type of attendance: Cameo.

Story of your job in a briefing: Cire trained his Far Eastern arts in Norg, as a member of the Tenshodo.

As a Monk in the RP group: Cire has assisted Avina and her group through Rise of the Zilart, Bastok and Windurst missions. To ensure the safe of the group he wouldn't hesitate showing up as anything the situation would require, offering his multi-tasking services as a Monk, White Mage, Ninja, Thief and Summoner.

What will you do in the future: Unknown. After saving Windurst, Cire decided he'd stay in town for some time to train and help the citizens.

Appearance: Varies, but he has often showed up wearing full Melee Attire set.

Name: Falgor

Model: Elvaan M 5B

Link to Profile: Click here.

In which part of RP will you be a Monk: Retired?

Type of attendance: Side-character.

Story of your job in a briefing: Falgor appeared to Avina's group as a Monk before revealing himself as a Blue Mage. It is unknown whether that would be only a camouflage or if he actually did take up the martial arts in the past.

As a Monk in the group: Falgor assisted Avina and her party in defeating the Shadow Lord as a Monk. (Far as I remember)

What will you do in the future: Falgor never seemed to have used his Monk abilities since after showing up as a Blue Mage, and successfully Paladin.

Appearance: Unknown.
