One of the many Mithran Mercenaries that came to the defense of Windurst during the terrible time of the Crystal War. A member of the Adder Mercenaries, whose tactical speciality was headhunting. They would recieve assassination orders for targeted Beastmen commanders. By the end of the war they had collected many trophies but lost many comrades. Merith's (as she was known in the group) orders were to locate and if possible, kill the commander of the dreaded Dark Kindred. She went missing during the last heated months of the War, and it was presumed by her superiors that she fell in the Northlands. To this day adventurers whisper rumors of a shrouded figure prowling the cursed north.

"…yeah me and my group had to go to Uleguerand Range to find some kind of magicite. Didn't find nothing valuable at all though.. and those demons up there gave us quite the chase lemme tell ya! We got to this cave and had to dodge skellies and snolls.. Well anyway after about twenty minutes we get to Bearclaw Pinnacle and wouldn't ya know it: a giant tornado of hot air is blocking the way! Biggest waste of time I've ever been on <sigh> Well as we were leaving, I found a shard of what I thought was obsidian or maybe even a dark crystal. It felt heavy enough to cermet though if ya ask me. So yeah I pick it up and something growls at me from somewhere! I look around and all I see is two yellow eyes staring at me.. <laughs> I booked outta there like Diabolos himself was on my butt. So yeah I think there's some kinda spirit or ghoul up there in the mountains. And you couldn't PAY me to go back.."Obi
