I dedicate this post to Xael, dear friend and a very good drawer. His dream was, and I hope still is, to become a famous mangaka. Drawing manga sadly still is a very understimated profession in Italy so I wish him the best of luck even if we ended apart when he quit FFXI. He was a member of the Italian RP Group that had place two years ago and had an ongoing manga about our tales. I don't feel up to post the manga itself, as I think I should ask him first. But here's some spare scans he sent me in the years and that I love.

To Xael if he ever happens to find this forum by google'ing his draws:
Mi dispiace per quel che รจ successo e spero tu possa avere una vita felice. Riconosco i miei errori e so di averti fatto soffrire molto. Perdonami.
Se mai vorrai tornare a sentirmi sarai sempre il benvenuto.
Con affetto, Chiara.
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.

Tarutaru Female, Allexy. Afterwhile named Pakurara

Dave and Rekan, specifically Warrior and Ninja. They were Dekka's buddies, and minor villains of the game.

Kenjii's blue mange. Notice he uses a Great Katana. As I mentioned before our RP didn't follow canons much, as we were all noobies. But we still had fun so I don't see it as bad.

Dekka, sub-villain of the RP and Kjara's rival in dragoon's way. Again uncanonical wyvern and spear. Wyvern's name is the common Firewing.

Elyrhis, the pupil bard of Kenjii's mother. You would wish there was a hume female frame like this in game..

A smooth attempt to draw our galka paladin. Xael was quite disappointed when I made him notice he forgot the tail.

Hanzos, a paladin who lost his person to protect. After his wife's death in the Crystal War, he dared to never again wield a shield. He RPd the DD paladin quite well, and I think this first drawing of him fits quite well.

Kafziell & Ayuki. Most of the RP people know little Ayuki hehe. Kafziell was her alter BLM, very similar to pre-magicite Kaolla in personality, except the creepy dark magical girl quotes.

Kjara's first fanart! I love this. Azure's look is just awww and makes me want to hug the little cute lizard.

And here's Xael in his uber Beetle Set. He was the RP's true protagonist, and all the tale was told by his newbie's point of view. It made Vana'diel and its place look a lot more cool than from a veteran player. For those who didn't know: Yes, he was a DRK *sighs* why do I always end up dealing with DRKs?

Xerses, our Manthra. The prince of Kazham, son of Jakoh Wahcondalo and soon-to-be Ayuki's mate. After Ayuki's rejection from Elshimo for killing a tomberry, Xerses escapes from the island too, looking for his love. He ends up in Aht Urghan where he'll start alternate his thievery activity with the identity of a silent Mithra Immortal.

Kenjii and his brother Zenji. I always had fun at the bunch of weapons Zenji had, but Xael wanted to give him this 'weapons cluster' look. Kenjii looks a lot younger than he does in game, and that's perfect. As I was RPing him as a 16yo.

Another couple sketchs of Hanzos. Here's his first and last attempt to color a drawing with PC. He never liked colored artworks.

And here's Hanzos in full AF with Gluttony sword. One of the best fanarts ever.

Xael always loved Airships. Here's the model of the ship where RP officially starts. It's a very cool one, with beds and a restaurant too.

A DRK fanart, can't miss from a DRK artist.

And here's Xael on RedCrystal, his chocobo runner. Had lots of fun times with him in the chocobo circuit.

Kjara in Whitegate. This drawing has a special place in my heart. If you look carefully you can find Hanzos and Xael in it too lol.

Starlight Event Prologue. Here's a small scene of the manga, where me and the others run into Steelfleece Baldarich and Kenjii is invited to join xmas event (as always he gets fooled by the word MISSION).

Here's another drawings of my friend Xael. One of his first fanarts. Happy Valentine everyone :D
*note*: Remember he draws in mangaka style, so read from right to left.
